Spring is coming!!! Yay for warm weather, blooming flowers, and green grass!

Time for an update on what is going on for Dream A Little Dream Photography this Spring!!

Easter Minis:

Instead of doing Easter Mini Sessions for just one day I will be doing them anytime in between March 17th and 23rd.  The scene will be a rustic building with tall grass, wire baskets with eggs, and flowers/furniture depending on the gender/age of the children that will be in the session.  The cost will be $85 and includes a 30 minute session, one 5×7 of your choice, online password protected gallery, reproduction rights, and a disc with 10-15 images. Where the Wild Things Are (Storybook Session):

I am very excited about this session! This is for not just children, but adults or families too if they would like to participate! With the interest I have had, I more than likely will be planning 2-3 days for this. The first will be Saturday, March 30th!

The scene will include a vintage bathtub, made to look like Max’s sail boat in a slightly overgrown field/woods(this will give it a more wild look!.) Also There will be a tent like the one Max makes in his room, along with other props such as the crown, tail, etc.. This session will need to be a little longer than a mini so we will plan on a 45min – 1 hour long session that will include  an online password protected gallery, 20-30 images on a disc, reproduction rights, and a lot of FUN for $100. {Awesome deal!!}  Session times available for that day will be decided as we get closer, with the sunset time changing we may have to move the time a bit, so there will be 1 morning time slot and 2 late afternoon/sunset time slots available. Please let me know if you are interested and I will plan more days according to interest! It is going to be great!!!

I am super excited about Storybook Saturdays!!! I plan on having a different themed, discounted mini session day each month until the end of summer! This gives you an opportunity for a super creative and fun session for your child or children, while also saving you money!! :)

The first one will be Saturday, February 23rd and the theme is Red Riding Hood!

They will take place in the patch of woods behind my home, that are lovely in the winter!

I will be taking four sessions for that day, one in the morning and three in the afternoon.

The cost will be $80.

This includes:

-A 20-30 minute session.

-An online password protected gallery to view your proofs.

-A disc with 15 images that you choose.

-The printing & digital rights.

While brainstorming one morning about ways to give back while offering my clients specials, I came across the Valley Mission’s website. When I noticed that one of their biggest needs was for coffee, I decided to email them for more info and a little back story to why coffee was such a big need. The response from Christal Yowell, the development & communications coordinator of the Valley Mission in Staunton, confirmed that I would have to find a way to include coffee into my sessions specials. This is straight from the email: “Coffee is part of the daily life here at the mission. Currently with a population of 60 many of our resident have 2 cups of coffee each morning- one cup with breakfast and one cup to go. Just as it is important for many in the community to stop off and get their morning coffee before heading off to work, it is just as important for our residents to have that morning cup of coffee as well. The more we help them feel/have a sense of normalcy in their lives, the more they are encouraged to spend time in job readiness programs, budgeting classes and hopefully returning to be more self-sustaining.”

So for the months of February and March I will be offering a {Share Coffee, Spread Love} mini session special!

I was the busiest I have ever been and I learned, that even though I don’t want to, I have to say no sometimes. I just wish there was time for all of you lovely clients who contact me!

I am very excited about 2013!

I will be having more themed mini sessions throughout this year, lots of specials that give back, more art shows (Lynchburg was so much fun!), and putting more effort into Love Tails!

With all the new adventures for Dream A Little Dream Photography, the main thing I will be focusing on is balance. :) I will only be booking 2-3 sessions per week and only 1 session per day, with the exception of themed mini days. I highly recommend booking at least two months in advance for sessions once spring comes!

Some changes for 2013: I will now have you fill out the photo release electronically! This will save lots of paper and a copy will be emailed to you after your session! (If you wish to have a paper copy just let me know.)

Also, I am now accepting all major credit cards with square! This makes payment a lot easier with the option to pay in cash, check, or card!

You will receive an online proofing gallery, a CD with 10 edited images, & printing & digital rights for $60(includes up to 5 people, $10 each additional person.)The location has not been decided yet, but the theme will be different for each day. Saturday, November 10th will be a Vintage Christmas theme, this will include vintage Christmas decor and furniture, Saturday, December 8th will be a Rustic Christmas theme, which will be a more natural country feel, possibly done at a barn or tree farm, and Sunday, December 9th will be a Christmas Baking theme(complete with vintage kitchen accessories & fun! – perfect for those of you with little girls or couples!!) I will only be doing 5-6 sessions per day, mornings & evening on those days, with the exception of Sunday, December 9th I will only be doing three sessions in the afternoon. I get to do what I love every day & photograph so many amazing people!!

My business has grown so much in such a short time because of all you lovely people!!

But…the super, crazy busy  mode I put myself in equals total drain of creativity…

Each of you is so unique, so you deserve a unique session, one that breaks the mold & lets you have fun!

So..in order to keep that spark of creativity going & that buzz of energy live & full for all my awesome clients!

I will only be doing 3 – 4 sessions per week.

What does this mean for you guys?

Just that it may be more difficult to book a session at times. So if you know you want a session a month or two (or even 3) months away from now, then please contact me! And of course I know that sometimes things come up, or it rains. Believe me I will always do my best to work you in so that we are all happy! :)

I will also try and keep my availability updated on Facebook. When a month is getting full I will let you guys know!
